Approximately 10 years ago with the introduction and breakthrough of robotic surgery in the United States, Dr. Asulin became one of the first surgeons in the country to embrace the robotic surgical technology and became one of the pioneers and leaders in gynecologic minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Currently, Dr. Asulin serves as the director of minimally invasive and robotic surgery at multiple hospitals in northern New Jersey including holy name Hospital in Teaneck, Hoboken Hospital in Hoboken and Christ Hospital in Jersey City.
Dr. Asulin is a leader in minimally invasive surgical techniques and one of the region’s most experienced gynecologic robotic surgeons who has taught extensively in the area of robotic surgery throughout the country. He is Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Urogynecologic Society and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons
Originally from Israel, Dr. Asulin entered college at Brandies University in Waltham Massachusetts and graduated with honors. After graduating with distinction from St. Georges University School of Medicine with dual degree, Dr. Asulin completed an OBGYN residency at Colombia College of surgeons of surgeons / Stanford hospital. He was chief resident and was honored as outstanding laparoscopic surgeon upon graduating. Following this, he spent the next 2 years continuing his specialty training in minimally invasive gynecology. Dr. Asulin serves as Director of female pelvic reconstruction and robotic surgery at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey where he is designated as a surgeon of excellence in minimally invasive and Robotic surgery by the AAGL.
